In addition to Boehmcke Realty Investment and Consulting, Brian Boehmcke has been a Principal of Cohen Investment Group where he served as Chief Operating Officer for a portfolio of Multifamily, Office, Retail and Self Storage properties throughout the US primarily across the southeast.
Previously, Mr. Boehmcke was with Harbor Group International from 2004 to 2014 where he was responsible for the profitability and return on investment for a significant portion of HGI's portfolio of commercial real estate. Mr. Boehmcke was honored with the HGI President’s Choice Award that recognizes one individual chosen by the company president for outstanding achievement during the year.
Before joining Harbor Group, Mr. Boehmcke was with Cushman & Wakefield in New York City for 12 years in roles of increasing levels of responsibility. His experience has included a broad range of building leasing agency and disposition assignments as well as the analysis of income producing properties, such as office buildings, retail centers and sale-leaseback portfolios. Mr. Boehmcke was a three-time recipient of C&W’s Agency Property of the Year award.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Boehmcke worked with Brennan Beer Gorman / Architects on projects involving design, construction and renovation of office and hotel properties.
Mr. Boehmcke has served as a member of the Board of Directors of The Hurrah Players, Virginia’s leading family theater company and Committee Chair for a local Boy Scout Troop. He has also served as an Advisory Committee Member of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance and been a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
Mr. Boehmcke earned a Masters of Science in Real Estate Investment & Development from New York University and a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia. He has also taught real estate asset management as an adjunct professor at New York University.
